Help Uģis get to Ukraine

Uģis: "Thanks to all of you who donated for my trip to RubyShift and RubyC. RubyShift was a great experience for me - for the first time traveled all by myself, met some Refinery CMS users/fans, listened to great talks and to sum it up - those 4 days while I was in the Ukraine I had a really great time.

Unfortunately I'm not going to attend RubyC because of some work related issues so all of you who donated for RubyC I want to say sorry and thank you!

Recently we've been fundraising to help Uģis achieve a goal of his which is to get to Ukraine for two ruby conferences happening in October and in November of this year. Due to an amazing response from the Ruby community so far we have managed to raise enough to pay for flights and accommodation for the first conference, Ruby Shift (who kindly also donated him a ticket to attend due to his work on Refinery CMS!) which is happening October 22-23, 2011 in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine.

We are dreaming big and hoping to also help him get to RubyC which is happening November 5-6, 2011 in Kyiv, Ukraine.  As such, we'd love it if you could help out with funding this to say thanks to Uģis for all the hard work he's put into Refinery CMS so far if you're able to do so. It's really easy to help, just donate over at pledgie and we'll make sure that all funds collected before the conference starts go directly to making this possible.. and we'll post back here once the goal has been reached so that we can all celebrate!
